Step 3: Use the tool to identify opportunities to apply principles from behavioural science to a policy challenge you’re facing

How it works

The EAST® Card Tool is made up two sections, selection and review.
In the selection section, you will view a number of cards displaying behavioural principles from each of the EAST categories.

-
Easy
-
Attractive
-
Social
-
Timely

Each category starts with an example of how we have applied a behavioural principle from the category to the example problem mentioned earlier, reducing unnecessary antibiotic prescriptions.

As you view the cards, you will be able to select the cards that are relevant to the problem you want to solve. The selected cards will be saved for the review section.
To select a card, you will need to click on the switch at the bottom of the card.
When the switch is green, the card has been selected and saved for later.
When the switch is red, the card has not been selected.
In the review section, you will view the summary report which includes the selected cards from the selection section.
There will be an option to receive the summary report by email.
